Native son of syracuse raised on the south side of town, graduated from Henninger high school. Where Z was a 4 year starter for the late great Joseph Mazella. Was all city and high school McDonald's All American Senoir year. The first member of Henninger's 1000 points club, after graduation played for now hall of fame coach Jim Boeheim at Syracuse University. In 1996 lead the Orangemen to the NCAA title game, after college had a good career overseas and a short stint with the Memphis Grizzlies. Played and won 5 total Championships in the USBL, CBA ,ABA & IBL. spent 31/2 years with the world famous Harlem Globetrotter. Z rejoined his Orangemen & Coach Boeheim staff as Director of Player Development in 2007 and is continuing in working hard and learning how to become a good and successful coach.

Lazarus Sims, a key member of Syracuse’s 1995-96 team that reached the national championship game, was named coordinator of men’s basketball player development/ Assistant Strength and Conditioning at his alma mater Syracuse University.
